Nicole Crabbe was born in Forsyth County, North Carolina, and studied anthropology and history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She spent two decades as assistant archivist for the Moravian Archives, Southern Province, and now serves as librarian for Old Salem Museums & Gardens.

Throughout her career, Nicole has dedicated herself to researching, writing about, and preserving the history of North Carolina and the Moravian community. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Wachovia Historical Society. Nicole lives in Clemmons, North Carolina, with her family.
